Guarded has been out for two weeks. Time to take stock.
Book blitz: My book blitz was fun and interesting. Twenty stops in one day. Will do again.
Book tour: Halfway through, the results are mixed. Some bloggers have been fantastic. Others didn’t provide the promised review, did not post the blog post I spent hours writing, or didn’t bother to even feature my book. One blog did create a spotlight for me, but it was hidden behind another five they posted on the same day. I wonder how much exposure it received.
Launch event: The scavenger hunt Michelle and I created was a success. I had so much fun, and so did the others. Not as many readers as expected turned up, but many expressed their regret for missing it.
Sales: Preorder sales were good, and I probably sold more books in that first day than Divide And Conquer sold over the past five months (OMG. Has it only been five months?). All in all, it’s doing well.
I’m busy penning its sequel, scheduled for release in spring 2016. But first I’ll be releasing my writing booklet Show Don’t Tell and my anecdotal short stories Conversations With The Dead for Halloween.
Meanwhile, why not let me know how you enjoyed Guarded?
